About Brett Cornish
Industrial Designer | Outdoor Industry Veteran | Athlete Coach
I am an Industrial Designer who builds at the intersection of human biomechanics, technical soft goods, and high-performance product innovation. Backed by 20 years in the outdoor recreation industry, my approach to design is forged in the dirt, on the snow, and through thousands of hours observing how athletes interact with their gear under extreme conditions.
My passion for technical product design is deeply personal. Having spent my life modifying performance gear to accommodate my needs, I developed an early obsession with equipment mechanics, adjustability, and precision performance. This fascination led me to complete formal ski-boot fitting training at Colorado Mountain College, secure professional certifications from Barnett’s Bicycle Institute, and ultimately graduate Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Whether utilizing advanced CAD modeling to develop complex hardware systems or operating industrial sewing machines to prototype technical soft goods, I bridge the gap between high-level brand aesthetics and production-ready tech packs. I don't just design gear to look good—I design it to survive the elements, enhance performance, and solve real user vulnerabilities.
Based in Golden, Colorado, I am always looking for new opportunities to collaborate with forward-thinking brands and push the boundaries of product innovation.
